On December 31, 2017, I went to Kakira, where there is one of the best sugar factory in Uganda with my friend. As I have already told you, I go there on Sundays (if I am around Musima).
After roaming around the market I stopped to watch a man who is shuffling three small board made by a paper. The man was surrounded by a lot of people was a leader and they seemed bet some money.
I was wondering at that time and approached them. I was watching what they are doing and then a man told me that "Why not try to double your money?" I replied "OK." Because it seemed very easy for me to find out which board have a mark in reverse after shuffling.
After I took out 40,000 ($12) from my wallet he asked me that which board is marked? Then I put my money on the board. Then it reversed but it wasn't!!! I lost my forty!!! I didn't know that what was happened then I asked him if he can bring my money back. Then, he told me "if you want to get your money back you should bet!" Then I borrowed another 20,000 ($8) from my friend and bet after watching carefully at which board have the mark and I pointed. Then, he reversed! Again, it was blank and he reversed another board and it marked.
Then, I found out that they were doing this kind of business.
Those people who were surrounding must be confederates of him.
I left there by shaking hand. But next time I will try to break the trick to get my money back.
